How can you send money from Cash app to chime?

You no longer have to visit a physical branch to send or receive money in today’s world. Now, you can easily transfer money instantly between people through your smartphone.

But the question is can you send money from Cash App to Chime? The answer is yes! You can transfer money between these two platforms very easily.

Even though transfer between these two apps works very smoothly, Square Cash App and Chime are two separate payment applications with independent networks and servers.

Chime has achieved exponential growth in banking service by keeping things simple, offering only three services: a checking account with a debit card, a savings account, and a secure credit card with no overdraft fees. You can easily transfer money between these two payment app platforms using these services.

You have two options to transfer money from a Cash app account to Chime. The first option is to use a chimes debit card. And the second one is to use chime bank account details, whether it’s a savings account or a checking account.

Send money from Chime to Cash App Account Using Debit Card

To send money from your chime to Cash App using the Chime Card, open the Cash app on your phone, head over to the bottom left corner, and click on the Cash app balance.

Select the “Cash Out” option next to the “Add cash” button. Now select the amount you want to transfer and press the green “Cash Out” button.

Next, Cash App will give you two cash-out options: Standard and Instant. Though the standard option is free of cost, it will not work for transferring money to your Chime debit card. So click on the Instant option, and it will allow you to cash out on the same business day.

Now add your debit card expiration date, Number, CVV security code and Zip code.

Finally, click on the green “Next” button and You are done. Now check your chime account and you will immediately see the balance you just transferred from the cash app.

You can use this technique if you haven’t linked any debit or credit cards to your cash app yet. If you’ve previously linked your debit card, though, you can remove it first or update the card information. And after sending the funds, you have the option of adding them back.

Keep in mind that there is an additional 1.5% or minimum $0.25 cash app fee, depending on the amount of transaction you’re making using the instant deposit option. If you don’t want to pay the fee, you can link your Chime bank account to transfer money from Cash App to Chime. Now let’s focus on that.

Send money from Chime to Cash App Using Chime bank account

To send money from your cash App to chime, you’ll need to link your Chime bank account details to your Cash App. So, open the Cash app on your phone, go to the bottom left corner, and select “Cash App Balance.”

Chime Bank is recognized as a banking partner by the Cash App. So, click on the option where it says “Link Bank” after that, the cash app will ask you your pin number or your finger ID to verify that it’s you performing the transfer.

Now search for the Chime Logo and click on it. A popup will appear, and you’ll be prompted to sign in to your Chime spending account using your email address and password.

Once you’ve entered your Chime login details, the accounts will be linked. After that, return to the Cash App wallet and look for your balance in the lower-left corner; Click on it.

Like the previous method, click on “Cash out,” and enter the amount you want to send to your Chime wallet.

Now you’ll be given two options: Standard and Instant. Here comes the most important part: you should select the “Standard” option and Do not click the Instant button.

There is no cost to make a standard cash app transfer. The standard withdrawal process will take about two to three business days to deposit money from your cash app wallet to your Chime account. With that being said, Cash App relies on ACH direct deposit for fund transfer, which means you cannot use wire transfer.

After clicking the “Standard” button, the cash app will ask you for your PIN or your touch ID to verify you. Once you are done, you will get the expected arrival time for your money with a green “Done” Button.

You can use this technique if you haven’t linked any bank account yet. If you’ve previously linked your other bank account, you will have to remove it first or update your bank information.
